UW Warriors continue to be top CIS academic student-athletes.
The University of Waterloo has announced their lists of Academic All-Canadians for the 2002-2003 school year. This achievement is accomplished by obtaining an overall school average of 80% or higher while competing on a varsity team. Waterloo has 135 Academic All-Canadians of approximately 550 total student-athletes.
"For the academic year 2002-2003, there were 135 student-athletes that achieved 80% or better in their competing terms. This is a great accomplishment and the honour of being named an Academic All Canadian in intercollegiate sport across Canada. 1 in 4 student-athletes achieve this honour. This is a remarkable feat. The University of Waterloo student-athletes rank in the top 5 in the country for their excellence in athletics and academics," commented Athletic Director, Judy McCrae.
