HTML 4.01 is soooo 1997.
True geeks are going XHTML 1.1 or 1.0 strict with WAI AAA... and that was

The only thing that really needs to be redesigned is that banner to the top right. Atleast the puke-like colour is gone but the font still sucks -- it doesn't match with the rest of the layout, neither does purple. IMHO
Since I'm gonna be reading this site for the next 3 years of my UW life, can the designers conisder a yellow and blue colour scheme?

Well, Im going to redesign this bc well, i think it would be neat to say I did it, and I drank away all my money first term...

but regardless, shouldnt it be a graphic design first THEN html coding, pending a judging of the best design. I dont want to spend another hour or hours doing all the html if my design isnt good enough...

Criticism of the current design would help designers make uws better. So
if you have a pet peeve about uws's design, let uws know about it right here.
Typeface? Organization? Colours? Usability? Any aspect of the design is up for
criticism. This is an opportunity to get what you think is broken fixed. ---

There are already tons of Geeklog themes out there. All you need to do is to pick a sutiable one from there and do some minor modifications and redesign a nicer banner.
IMHO, another eyecandier design will not make uwstudent.org any more better, try to expand the service that you provide.[ Parent ]

It looks pretty good... except I don't like tint in the photo up top at all--it looks kind of spooky.
Better to try another colour tint, or simply lighten or darken the original photo.[ Parent ]

Just wondering whether or not we should be tampering with the colours/image of the logo?
My interpretation is that we'd be allowed to ditch the emboss+dropshadow, but must keep the logo+colours as-is.
