ie. I personally don't like the What's Hot approach. Plus, I visit UWS from home, school, work, whatever so the visited link colour thing isn't really all that effective.

What in particular is missing from What's Hot? Can you suggest any alternatives, or modifications to What's Hot to make it more usable?

It might be nice to have something like What's Hot for a particular story. This would help when multiple stories are competing for attention and you're primarily interested in reading and commenting on only one of them.
