You really don't ever stop complaining, do you?
Look, it's simple. uws already exists, and is relatively well-known. It just needs writers. Instead of you and your friends complaining and going through the effort to start up a new, competing site, why not just write for uws? You're going to be doing all that writing for your new site anyway, at least now you know people will read it. That, and no coding gruntwork necessary (although if you want to do that here, we'd be thrilled). So there's one problem solved.
As for the dsl outage, this stuff happens. uws gets its bandwidth for free, and it's a pretty good connection at that. When UW went through the Microsoft grant fiasco, uws even survived a slashdotting. That's an admirable feat for something we don't pay for.
So really, why have you been complaining about uws so much lately? Do you have some axe to grind? Did Ryan stiff you on some bet? Or is it the lack of colour commentary? I know I'm upset that Heramb hasn't posted in a while, but that's no reason to get bitter.[ Parent ]
