I seem to remember OUSA advocating for a complete overhaul of financial aid which asked for an increase in financial aid available, but for that increase to come in the form of grants instead of loans.
Note that the Minister said "as long as financial help is available for students who need it," and did not mention loans.
The University of Toronto, with now-UW Dean Sedra and Ms. Chambers, put together a system of non-repayable assistance to guarantee students would be able to access non-repayable assistance that OSAP did not meet. Perhaps she wants to make that happen across Ontario?[ Parent ]
