For all students?
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, August 20 2004 @ 11:15 AM CDT
Will they be changing the regulations for aid?
I have repeatedly applied to OSAP and been turned down over and over. I have huge bank loans that need paying off and interest is due every month, unlike OSAP and other government aid. As well, if you have been rejected by OSAP, you are also rejected by the university bursary program. The criteria is flawed, many students can not rely on family for money, as the government seems to assume.
There are many students who need financial help and are currently not being given access to any loans or bursaries.
If they merely give more money to the same people, others are still trapped in the same situation.
