the club rate for us students is 500$ per night. The ESA has faithfully paid that for years. If my memory serves correctly (it very may well not) $500 is the "new" price after the cost-calculations from last year, and before that there was in fact even more of a subsidy going on.
Can anyone from ESA confirm the price you paid say two years ago?
