Confusion
Authored by: Yaacov on Tuesday, October 19 2004 @ 01:10 PM CDT
Lawrence, I'm a bit confused by a couple things you advocate.

The first is the way you separate council, exec and the IAC. I don't believe that the Feds structure bears out this separation. The IAC and the exec are agents of council in dealings with the Clubs. The actions that they have taken and the olive branches they have offered count very much as olive branches from council. I don't see why you expect a council resolution to overturn what seems to be a sound decision unless the ESA has shown that they are becoming compliant with the Clubs Procedure. A new ESA executive may be positive, or it may be negative but it does not indicate compliance with the Clubs Procedure, nor do promises of compliance. The proof will come in ESA's actions.

Second, I don't understand why you prefer an indeterminate length of suspension. I don't necessarily disagree with you, I just don't understand why you think that would be better. More info would be helpful. Thanks!
