Laurier
Authored by: JShelley on Thursday, October 21 2004 @ 03:43 AM CDT
technically embassy did meet on laurier, only in the form of 'elevation'. elevation is the sunday morning service for embassy members. it was a "church-plant" by the embassy. distinguish between embassy/elevation/esa, as feds has noted, is difficult. brandon, as noted above, is clearly in charge of all three. perhaps the steering committee of embassy is also in charge -- but none of these individuals (to my knowledge) are uw students. thus, embassy did meet on laurier (i can't recall for how long, but it was a year or more i think!). i cannot recall whether laurier kicked elevation out or elevation simply left (i believe it to be the former).

esa will certainly attempt to show that it is at the helm. however, having been involved with embassy for a number of years, i am skeptical that esa execs will ever hold any real power.
