Clearing up Laurier Information
Authored by: Sarah on Friday, October 22 2004 @ 02:20 PM CDT
In the Imprint, the Club’s director said that before The Embassy met at Federation Hall, they originated at Laurier and got kicked out.

The Embassy originated at UW in 1998, meeting at Humanities Theater. Elevation, a Sunday service started initially for graduated students from The Embassy, met at The Turret on Laurier’s campus on Sunday mornings starting September 2001, three years after The Embassy commenced. The Embassy DID NOT originate at Laurier.

In my opinion, Elevation’s services being held at The Turret has nothing to do with the current events. Just because Elevation did meet at Laurier, doesn’t mean that the picture that the Imprint painted of the Embassy is true. And just to clarify, even though it appears that some want it to look like something else, Elevation was NOT kicked out of Laurier. Elevation needed a larger space to accommodate growth.

Hey, if you’re unclear about something, why not just ask instead of implying the worst?
