What Zionism is varies according to who's talking.
Although a significant number of people believe it is that Jews should move to Israel the much more accepted definition is that Zionism is simply the support of Israel's existence. I consider myself a Zionist and yet disagree with a reasonable amount of what the Israeli government does, the reason I say this is that I still believe Israel should exist.
Even historical Zionism was not necessarily that all Jews should live in the area, just the support for the creation of the state.
That being said, people who are anti-Jew have been using the Zionist term to avoid sounding like they're hate-mongering for a long time now (Elders of Zion anyone?).
Being supportive of Israel's existence, and supporting the oppression of Palestinians are not intrinsically linked, I believe a two state solution is possible and viable, I'm against the settlements, and I'm still a Zionist.[ Parent ]
