The instead volunteered that the Jewish students were weeping "crocodile's tears" That comment was directed at a German student, who was upset about Finkelstein's flagrant and seemingly indifferent use of Nazism to make his arguments.
It's not very important to the rest of what you wrote, though it was one of the most vicious and assinine things he did that evening.
