From what I've seen/heard Nick is a good guy who's done a good job working at Fed Hall. He is a student manager who has a good understanding of many fed's businesses (because he's been working at fed for a while). After all, overseeing the operations of the businesses is the VPAF's main duties.

I think past VPAF's have shown us the most effective one's had some experience with the fed's businesses.
