I would suggest that X exercised bad judgment in trusting Z and not seeking independent confirmation. Would you really be willing to accuse somebody solely on hearsay?
Well, that's what you'd have to do in many cases, if only candidates could launch complaints against candidates. Otherwise Z could just launch the complain himself, and all would be well.
Secondly, this would be a very dangerous tactic, as a candidate who made this deal, and then felt disadvantaged, could still file a complaint.
Yeah, that was what I meant about it probably not working. The reward for 'defection' (to use Primer's Dilemma terminology) would be too great, especially in the 11th hour.[ Parent ]
