Bobby Really Should Have Won It
Authored by: Tyler on Friday, February 18 2005 @ 04:47 PM CST
Wow. I am really in shock. I think 3 things took me by surprise in this election.

1) For sure, the BIGGEST surprise is Bobby not winning. What makes it worse is that he lost it by 20 votes. If you are reading, I just want you to know that all of us here in Engineering had your back, and we wish you best of luck. You were for sure the best candidate for VP Ed. No offence to Howie, but I'm afraid what might happen to the VP Ed portfolio. I hope Howie, if you are also reading, you take from this the fact that 1020 students were fully supportive of Bobby's ideas, especially the Student Charter. That was by far the best thing out of this election.

Again, all of us are super shocked, and really let down by this, but I think Bobby knows how much we supported him! :-)

2) Just so you know that I am not Yellow Team biased, I only supported Bobby Naini from his ticket. What really gets me is that the 2 most uncharismatic members of the group, Carmen and Lawrence, won. At least EJ, despite all of the controversy surrounding ESA, was a good debater, public speaker, and campaigner. I really thought that between Bobby and EJ, they were carrying the campaign.

3) Where the hell did Andersen get all of his support from? That's crazy! I think we have a big case of the vote being split here, because all 3 ticket other than Blue were essentially anti-Andersen (anti status quo).

Someone at FEDS should at least hire Bobby Naini to do some promotions for them. He was the only reason that I, and most of my friends, got involved in this campaign. He was so motivational in the way he spoke.

But regardless, best of luck to all of the winners, and good job to all of the candidates.
