You're probably right that the content will not survive forwever, but I don't see any immediate reason that it would disappear.

The server is hosted on a machine which serves other websites also, and the bandwidth is donated to us.

As for the domain name, there is also the UWS wiki, which is used a fair bit, and so may survive the freezing of the news site and provide a rationale for retaining the domain.
