Levy taxes on the multinat
Authored by: David Mandelzys on Wednesday, April 06 2005 @ 09:01 AM CDT
I'm talking about corporate taxes that are forced down because the multinats can just pick up and leave or threaten to if they are raised.

This can be seen in Canada as well where corporate taxes have steadily declined from making up 50% of our tax base in the 1950 's to around 12% (I'll have to check the exact numbers).

Martin just slashed them further in the last budget.

how does a company really benefit a country if they come in, don't develop useful infrastructure (talking about mobile companies), and don't increase the countries revenues.........barely subsistance wages for those they employ in exchange for incredibly long hours and sacrifice, sure, but nothing beyond that if they can move easily as soon as anything more is demanded.
