Without commenting on when I think an election should be held, I think
you're making some errors in your assertions and interpretations.

First of all, the online poll merely asked when people think an
election will be held, not when people want to have an election held.
This is significant: for example, I might think there will be an election in the
next three months, but I might not want an election until the fall.

Secondly, while it may be true that 12 times as many people voted in the
online poll, I don't think you can claim that the online poll is a representative
sample. Online polls generally aren't scientific precisely because people tend
to self-select for them. Perhaps only liberal-bashers visit canoe.ca. Perhaps
only those who want an election right now care enough to vote in the poll.
These things aren't necessarily true, but they very well could be, and they
bear noting.

Give the polls whatever value you want, but I'd rather trust an Ipsos-Reid poll,
done by professional, independent pollsters using a random sample than an
online poll any day of the week.
