Just because this apparently somewhat pragmatic change is being made does not imply a deeper consideration isn't being worked on. You are of course right when you say that if the standards are acceptable then the failing should occur, or if not they should be fixed.
I do not believe by saying "Opps, we don't want this group of people failing right now" doesn't imply that is the only thing they are doing.
Likewise we (student leaders etc) should make sure that it is not in fact the only thing they do.
There is only a problem here if changing these rules is all that happens, then this measure is a shallow solution. As stop gap to figure out what is really happening, it doesn't seem so bad.[ Parent ]
