Real World nothing
Authored by: Math alumnus on Tuesday, May 17 2005 @ 04:26 PM CDT
In Comfy Lounge World, yes, marks count, because they are an indicator of how manly you are because certain members of this populous are lacking in another area.

Actually, in my rather limited experience with loungers:

1) They rarely care about marks, and
2) They rarely have high marks.

This is because, shockingly, getting good marks implies some attention to studying and assignmnents, which means no weekend-long Magic tournaments, Settlers games, bridge marathons, and D&D sessions.

You don't mean the Real World, dude. You mean the Corporate World, which for you is the only world possible because you want money, cars, a house in the suburbs, and a corner office. The "Real World" is about as real as reality TV.

Academia is a bubble, yeah. But it's not the only bubble out there. Thank god for the tech slump or there would be more chumps like you here chomping at the bit and telling us about how it is in the "real world".
