I love the math courses here. They teach me a different way of thinking, and work teaches you other things. So what if it is not applicable in cases or at all. There is more to life than just the job. Who knows where some of the knowledge comes in handy. And even still, doing the math problems/proofs and the cs expands the way you think in ways(even if you don't realize it).
If you don't like it, then maybe this faculty is not for you. And if you can't handle it, then how will you handle the more abstract material later? I think the cutoffs are fair, and I think its just that this is a younger batch that didn't deal with University properly, or they are in the faculty with the wrong motives. Our University shouldn't decrease quality to aid the people who don't deserve to go on.
And finally, to graduate with honours deserves a little more respect that is earned. Graduate more with a general degree then. [ Parent ]
