I like to commend your new website. It's good to see someone taking an initiative and tackling controversial topics. Sometimes UW gets too boring thus we need to spice it up with interesting opinion pieces.
Now with respect to that particular piece, I don't agree with your assessment of the election. A vote is a vote whether the "right" candidate won or not. To imply that the Asians' on campus vote is any less worthy thank your vote or Darren's vote is insulting. Carmen received more votes than the next candidate and thus won fair and square. Clearly she did a superior job marketing herself to the voters on campus. Perhaps the other candidates should have reached out to all members of our campus in creative ways.
Other than that, good job with the website.[ Parent ]
